Who am I? And why should I matter?

That’s the question that has kept me from writing this blog for many years. For many years, I’ve focused on what I’m not- an ordained minister, a theologian, someone with a master’s in divinity. But I think that’s the problem. God doesn’t focus on what we lack, but on what he has given us.

So here is who I am:

I am a Christian.

I am a wife.

I am a mother.

For too long, lay people have been too afraid of their lack of qualifications to speak up in a growing culture of relativism and post modernism. I may not know all the terms, but I do know that the Bible is the infallible word of God and that it is, “harper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

My purpose is to bring light and truth to the pressing topics of Christian lay people, and to give them the courage to use their faith in a way to speak out and live out their faith in their community.

My focus will be on apologetics, culture, and parenting and the many ways those three areas intersect and affect one another. I look forward to you joining me on this journey.
